MICHEL JONS BAND -- ATLANTA, GA "Classy" describes her look "dynamic" describes her stage presence and her voice. Without any doubt, Michel Jons is simply "phenomenal." Michel Jons is writing her own history due to her ability to own a song. She is an ultimate song stylist inspired by but not emulating the great vocalists from the past and present. Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Natalie Cole, Etta James, and even Patsy Cline were major influences. You can hear them all when she opens her mouth to sing. And sing she has; 15,000 people at the Narni Music Festival in Italy, 10,000 at Phillips arena before an Atlanta Hawks game, 30,000 during the 1996 centennial Olympic Games, 12,000 at the Sweet Auburn Festival and well over 100,000 people when she performed at the Atlanta Pride Festival. While the large numbers are great, Michel has also performed every year for television and movie actress Sela Ward's birthday party with only fifty people in attendance. She also has performed at numerous Wedding receptions and other small, private events. Michel has opened shows for: The Gap Band, Howard Hewitt (formerly of Shalamar), Percy Sledge, Chaka Khan and Georgia Music Hall of Fame Inductee "William Bell" during his induction as well as sang background on one of his recent CD releases and toured Italy with him. These types of accolades could easily go to some performers heads, but not Michel Jons! Please inquire below to experience this lady's genuine personality and talent at your next event.
