Since 1965 the names "The Prophets" and "The Georgia Prophets" have become well known throughout the Eastern Seaboard. Billy Scott's continuous recordings and performances have created a demand for this versatile group. A native of Huntington, West Virginia, Billy came south to Augusta, Georgia where the group began over thirty years ago. Billy has been entertaining audiences from Baltimore to the Virgin Islands with his wide variety of songs and dance. Billy's talent has gained him induction into The Beach Music Hall of Fame in 1985 and The Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame in 1997. He was honored with the Entertainer of the year award in 1982 and 1995, He is the founder and president of the annual Carolina beach music awards show, the Cammy Awards, based in Pinebluff, North Carolina and held every November. Billy also wrote, sang, and produced the theme song for the Charlotte Hornets. Song writer, record producer, poet and actor are among Billy's many talents. Billy has had a very fruitful career with 26 singles and 9 albums, not to mention the 17 different compilation albums on which a number of songs are included. Billy Scott has certainly accomplished much in his life and he is still going strong.
