MIKE & THE MIXERS

Mike & The Mixers provide ensembles for all types of occasions, including wedding receptions, business parties and other special events. The services of the Mike & The Mixers include the following:

Eight Piece Jazz Ensemble - includes piano, bass, drums, guitar, three horns and a female vocalist. This group offers the client a wide range of music with an emphasis on Big Band Arrangements. The pianist plays during breaks to provide continuous music for the evening.

Four Piece Group - includes piano, bass, drums, and sax. Three of the four members sing. The quartet is our most popular wedding reception group and plays a wide range of music from classical to rock.

Trio - includes piano, guitar, drums, and vocals. The trio is the popular choice for wedding rehearsal dinners and smaller private parties. A variety of styles are offered, but the emphasis is on standard jazz.

Solo Pianist - Our pianist is a popular choice for wedding ceremonies, business receptions and private parties. The pianist takes requests and is available for both indoor and outdoor events.

Mike & The Mixers gladly take your requests. They also provide (at no charge) a referral list of caterers, photographers, florists, meeting planners, etc. Bandleader Mike McSwain holds a B.A. from the University of South Carolina, and has been a full time professional drummer and instructor in Charleston for the past 22 years.
