Such musical anthems as "It's All Right," "Amen," "Keep On Pushing," and "People Get Ready" rivaled that of the Motown hit factory. The Impressions generated sixteen Top 20 R & B hits and seventeen Top 40 Pop hits between 1958-1969, and were second only to Ray Charles in album sales for ABC Records. It was no surprise, that in January of 1991, The Impressions were recognized for their musical contribution by being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with The Byrds, John Lee Hooker, Wilson Picket, and Ike & Tina Turner. With only two member changes since 1961, The Impressions today consist of Fred Cash, Sam Gooden, Ralph Johnson, and Smokey Hampton. They continue to tour all across the United States, Canada, and abroad. With the recording interest in oldies music, The Impressions have been discovered by a new audience as they continue to dazzle and delight their devoted fans. The Impressions are the perfect choice for any event or venue appealing to the "Baby Boom" generation. Click here to see a sample Video of live performances. |
