Mama's Home Cookin' was established in 1974. The group includes eight musicians consisting of drums, bass, guitar, keyboard, sax, and trumpet players. The group has male and female lead vocalists.
The Group primarily plays dance music consisting of beach, rhythm and blues, oldies (50's, 60's, etc.), country, rock and roll and top 40. Mama's Home Cookin' can do specialty numbers such as dinner music and line dances, plus music for all occasions such as wedding receptions, debutante balls, class reunions, and conventions.
Since the band's establishment in 1974, Mama's Home Cookin' has performed in almost every state in the Southeast; as well as Acapulco, Mexico, Bermuda, California, New York, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
The group has performed along with starring acts such as Liza Minelli, Fabian, The Drifters, Little Anthony, Chubby Checker, The Diamonds, The Shirelles and Bo Diddley.
